Normal and Healthy Thyroid (TSH) levels
Thyroid gland is situated in base of your neck, in front of your throat. Hypothalamus stimulates pituitary gland to produce thyrotropin ( Thyroid-stimulating hormone [TSH]) which makes thyroid gland to produce two hormones triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) which are essential for regulating vital functions and metabolism of the body.
A Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) blood test is carried out to check for issues with thyroid gland.
